Vacation to Barulak day #2

Second day our Journey to Barulak.

After Fajr Prayer at TAQWA Mosque, we go to a cofee shop to try sate.


Oh my GOD, it's still very cool here even at 7:00AM, i can not take a bath early morning as usual while i am at home in Balaraja, I took a bath at 8:30AM and it's still too cool.

After breakfast we go to the Hill Side at PALIPIE. From here we go to the jungle on foot, precisely hiking. After 30 minutes every one tired and we took some photograph as below:

Vacation to Barulak day #1

We had planned to visit my home village Barulak, by Air Asia on August 16 and planned to return to Jakarta on August 20, 2009. However( blessing in disguise) the Air Line decided to cancel all flight from Padang to Jakarta vv starting on August 19, 2009. Realizing that I am still active in my office and do not have any plan for earlier pension, then I jump to take this opportunity to take the airline third option i.e. rescheduling. So i decide to change my flight to July 2009. Thanks GOD, i can enjoy my vacation while my daughters also on vacation.


We left Jakarta on July 2nd, 2009 with all Family members including my lovely mother in law.

Landing at Minangkabau International Air Port at Padang at 15:00 (delay about two hours), not long after landing a SUV already waiting to take us to Barulak (more than 100 KM from Padang).

We really wanna try Sate Mak Syukur at Padang Panjang, but we are not lucky, all the Sate already booked by PT.SEMEN PADANG oh my GOD.

Finally we do not eat anything on the way home. Arrived at Barulak about 19:00 and we met my Mother and other, finally we get dinner at Home by "GULAI CIPUIK".
